Today we know that these substances are not safe for human use and have even been proven to be lethal in some instances. Many of these substances and chemicals have been banned by governments across the world.

But what about exposure to radiation from cell phones?

FACT: Each day you are being exposed to electromagnetic radiation (EMR) emitted by cell phones. Is this exposure safe?

What we do know…

Evidence to date is still inconclusive about the long term effects and impact of this radiation on the body and its correlation to the onset of certain cancers and diseases, but there is growing concern, based on many independent research studies, that radiation may not be as safe as we once believed it to be. Experts agree that children are even more at risk to radiation exposure than adults due to their underdeveloped brains and skulls, which are more susceptible to radiation penetration and absorption. When cell phone safety standards were set more than 17 years ago, children were never taken into account.

The Story Behind Stealth Technology…

During World War II, stealth technology was investigated as a way to hide aircraft from enemy radar. By the 1960′s the United States was well underway in developing a mature stealth program. In 1982 the United States introduced the world’s first operational aircraft designed to take advantage of stealth technology – the F-117A Nighthawk fighter.

The B-2 utilizes stealth technology to defeat radar through absorption and deflection. Additionally, the B-2′s unique rounded shape allows it to deflect radio waves.

Recently, many principles of previously classified stealth technology became declassified. LifeWave has applied these now declassified principles in a new way to limit the exposure of radiation emitted from cell phones.

Electromagnetic radiation (EMR) is emitted from all parts of your cell phone including the antenna and ear piece as well as other parts of the phone. According to the National Cancer Institute:

“A recent study showed that when people used a cell phone for 50 minutes, brain tissues on the same side of the head as the phone’s antenna metabolized more glucose than tissues on the opposite side of the brain. A phone’s specific absorption rate (SAR) shows the maximum amount of radiation the human body absorbs from the phone while it’s transmitting. SAR testing ensures that devices sold in the U.S. comply with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) SAR exposure limit. Why did LifeWave develop this new technology?

• Health agencies in six nations: Switzerland, Germany, Israel, France, the United Kingdom and Finland have all recommended reducing children’s exposure to cell phone radiation
• In 2008, the European Parliament passed a resolution urging member countries to develop lower radiation emission limits for cell phones
• Legislation introduced in the French Senate would ban marketing and sales of phones for children under the age of six
• The following cities have all proposed strict local cell phone radiation standards: Brussels, Belgium; Salzburg, Austria; Christchurch, New Zealand
• Toronto, Canada has issued guidance to parents on reducing children’s cell phone usage ³
