In the radio show, Dr. Dennis went through some acupuncture point protocols to help people with symptoms of sniffles, cough, phlegm and sinus pressure.  What we’re encountering as the cause of many of these symptoms are allergens and toxins in our environment: pollen, dust, mold, mildew, industrial pollution, automobile emissions, chemical trails (look up “geoengineering” on Google).  The most extreme example of industrial pollution Dr Dennis has experienced was in Shanghai.  The air was so polluted, you could hardly see half a block in front of him.  There was even grit in his teeth and solid stuff coming out of his nostrils!

Using Asian Medicine we can reduce the toxic effects of the above pollutants causing inflammation and “dampness” in the body.  The accumulation of water is also called dampness.  Too much dampness can cause phlegm and mucus.  The phlegm can then cause Bi (obstruction or blockage) that can cause pain.  Pain is caused by blockages to the flow of Qi and Blood in the body.  By clearing the blockage and lowering inflammation we can reduce pain.

The LifeWave patches can releases blockages and inflammation.  The BL43 (Bladder 43) – The Yellow Court Gate – on the outer bladder line at the level of T4, level with BL 14 (back SHU point of the pericardium).  BL43 if 3 cuns (thumb widths) on the sides of the spine near the scapular border (shoulder blade).  He uses this to clear the Yellow Court – clears disharmonious frequencies including negative emotions we haven’t let go of. These emotional blockages can be cleared and within a few minutes, that energy is released and people can feel much better!  The blockages held in the Yellow Court can also cause phlegm and upper respiratory blockages.  In ancient text they felt that there was no condition that wouldn’t be improved by clearing the Yellow Court!

Facial/Nasal Congestion Protocol

Third Eye GV24.5Y-Age glutathione or Aeon on this point can clear sinus congestion in the frontal sinuses.

Optional addition: On either side of the nose Use IceWave patches (White on RIGHT, Tan on LEFT) Large Intestine 20 on both sides.  Add this on either side of the nose and it makes a nice triangle of energy on the face.

If you don’t want to wear patches on your face, there are other protocols you can use.  Say you have an accumulation of phlegm, the point you can use is Stomach 40, it is halfway between the knee and the ankle bones, on the outside part of the shin.

Chest Congestion Protocols

Phlegm in the chest can be opened up by using Y-Age Glutathione (much of the glutathione is made in the lung) or Y-Age Aeon on Conception Vessel CV17 (which also releases grief) which is in the center of the sternum (breastbone) approx. in line with the nipples in a man.  Often it is sore when tapped.  If the Qi isn’t moving well in the chest and there is accumulation of phlegm, CV 17 is a great point to open up the chest.

Kidney 26 is just below Kidney 27 point to help relieve phlegm and you can use this with CV17 to make a nice triangle using IceWave on Kidney 26 (white on right, tan on left).  Alternatively you can put the IceWave on LU1 (lung 1, just in front of the shoulder muscles in the depression underneath the clavicle).

Another option:

Y-Age Aeon patch on CV 22 (notch on sternum) to clear the throat of phlegm and help stop coughing.  You can add this to the chest protocol above and that makes double triangle configuration.  You can use spiritual intention to “spin” the patch energy clockwise on the top triangle and counterclockwise for the patch energy in the bottom triangle.  You’re making spiritual pyramids!  That helps you access zero point energy when you intend this support!

REMEMBER TO STAY HYDRATED!!

Protocols for Coughing

The lung Qi normally flows down.  But if it is rebellious, it flows up and causes coughing.  The acupuncture points used for regulating rebellious Qi are the Source acupuncture points.  The Source point for the lung channel is LU9 (lung 9).  So you can add CV22 and you’ll have another wonderful energetic triangle (a powerful vortex of healing energy).  The Source points regulate the direction of the Qi flow.

What is you have all the symptoms above?

  1. Clear Yellow Court first if possible
  2. Put Aeon on GV26.5, Glutathione on CV22 and Energy enhancer or Icewave on Lung 9.

Another support point for the lungs is BL13 Bladder 13 (level of the T3 vertebra for general lung strengthening).  It is a little tricky to patch yourself, but for chronic allergies, this point can be sore on either side of the T3.  You can use either IceWave or Energy Enhancer patches – white on right, tan on left.  Dr. Dennis prefers the IceWave patches because they work faster on blockages.

If you’re doing the Five Element Rotation, and you have a lung related weakness, you can stagger BL13 in the middle of the five element sequence in lieu of the kidney/bladder combination.  You’re getting balance in all the other elements an at the same time you’re hitting your weak areas (BL13/lung).  If you are creative, you can always use KI6 on the left and BL13 if you want to keep the “yin” part of the 5 Elements.

Heat in the throat, sore throat you can use KI6/LU7 which has a synergistic effect. This clear heat from the throat. He would also want to release heat from the upper body such as LI11 at the crease of the elbow.  (You can also move heat out of the head with LI4).  Dr. Dennis suggest two sets of IceWave:

  • TAN icewaves on left KI6 (Kidney 6) and left LI11 (Lung 11) (alternatively you can use an SP6C yin patch for one of these points)
  • WHITE icewaves on right LU7 and right LI11 (alternatively you can use a Y-Age Aeon or gluathione as the YANG patch
  • And Y-Age Glutathione at CV22 base of the throat for sore throat (it is okay to use two glutathione patches at the same time)

Can you use Glutathione patch at night?

  • Yes, but it might cause arousal because it is so yang. Test it and see how it feels.  As soon as you wake up you can get moving and hydrated and the toxins will move out.

Dredge using the patches to move the lymph

  • sweep arms and legs using icewave in your hands (towards the center of the body OR along the direction of the Qi flow of the channels if you know what direction they go)
