Acupuncture Points for Thicker Hair Part 2

Introduction:

The Foti root was discovered and an ancient story started being told that the discoverer’s man’s grey hair was turning back to black, and his baldness was reversing.

The kidney and liver blood can be tonified/supported. The head hair is an experession of the kidney Qi external “bloom”. The state of the head hair is reflecting the flower of the kidney energy. It is nourished by the liver blood. So tonifying the kidney and liver energy helps with fertility and longevity as well.

Check out the introduction Part 1 HERE.

The Tian Gui, “heavenly water” is an expression of the kidney qi. Jing is “essence” and a combo of both yin and yang. In the Chong Ma channel (belt meridian), there is energy that wanes as we age (Tian Gui). Sex hormones and substances that promote growth. Tian Gui would be analogous to the gonadotropins. Tian Gui Shui is the fluid – seminal and menstrual fluid – become exhausted with aging along with the head hair.

In Part 1 Dr. Dennis talked about the source points and the 5 Zang organs: kidney, liver, heart, spleen, and lung. They are Yin organs. The ministerial fire is rooted in the five Zang organs. The spiritual pivot (“Ling Shu”), in the Yellow Emperor’s Cannon of internal medicine. When Zang are diseased, use the Source Points to treat. If liver of kidney Qi is poor, then we treat the Source acupuncture points.

Kidney 3 is the yuan source point of the kidney. It tonifies kidney yin and yang. It thus tonifies (strengthens deficiency) the Jing Qi of the body. Liver 3 helps to tonify liver qi and blood.

Right Liver 3 with Alavida or X39 and Left Kidney 3 with one of Sp6C/carnosine/tan icewave patch.

The Governing Vessel 4 Life Gate is the main point of tonifying the ministerial (yin type) fire of the kidneys. It is called the palace of essence. We can tonify the Jing using this point. It ascends the Jing to the brain. Heart has it’s own fire called the sovereign fire. When there is a heart-kidney disharmony due to a psychological problem, the ministerial fire and the sovereign fire (heart) is unbalanced.

Gate of original Conception Vessel 4 is also important. It restores the kidney energy if there is kidney deficiency. It tonifies De Qi, the original Qi, and that contributes to the essence of the Jing and the 5 Zang organs.

Conception Vessel 8 is spirit gate. It warms the yang. It rescues the collapse of the Yang. It restores Shen. It is contraindicated to acupuncture. In 5 Element medicine, they burn moxa on top of salt in the belly button. It revives collapsed yang and tonifies Shen. The Shen is the spirit of the heart. You can see it in the patients eyes when they are vital. Qi from PC8 in the palm after rubbing together, you can slap the belly to warm it up. It’s like expelling excess Qi from the palms into the belly CV8 (Fire Dragon Qi Gong)

Kidney 6 is the master point of the Yin Chao Mai (motility vessel). One of the indications is to treat infertility. The channel travels among other channels from Kidney 6 into the Bladder and goes over the head into the brain via Bladder 1. Lung 7 is a confluence point that enhances Kidney 6’s effects and vice versa .

Kidney 7 is a metal point in the water meridian. Dr. Dennis likes it because if people are excess on the metal energy and deficient in the water side which leads into the wood energy (yang rising) on the five element circle, you can use this point and pull the energy from the Yin side to the Yang side (from the metal into the water). If the pulses are strong or excess in lung and spleen and weak in kidney and liver, you can use this point to resolve this block (called a husband-wife block). Return the true Yang in the primordial Yin through Kidney 7. The head hair will start coming back.

Kidney 9 resets the Yin. It’s like resetting the deguassing effect in the magnetic field of the old TV cathode rays. It reprograms the Yin imbalances in the Qi and the blood. This can help with the hair. It is also indicated for treating mania and madness as well as psychological pain in the heart.

Bladder 23 is the back Shu point of the kidneys on either side of GV4 and it tonifies the kidney Qi, Yang and Jing of the kidney. It also tonifies all Zang deficiency, meaning exhaustion (chronic fatigue).

Kidney 27 is the kidney storehouse and tapping into energy reserves. It helps with burnout. If you use this with Bladder 23, you will treat exhaustion or chronic fatigue really well.

Governing Vessel 20, GV20, is known for nourishing marrow. You can sedate or raising Yang. It can do both at the same time. It’s based on your intention. If you want to send Qi downwards, you would intend it to go down to the Dan Tien where it circulates. Qi is mobile and it circulates. A great approach is to make the intention of “balance” when you use this point so you don’t go too much down or too much up.

Liver 8 is the He Se point that nourishing the blood and the Yin.

Liver 14 is the front Mu for the liver below the nipple line in the 6th intercostal space. It moves blood and harmonizes the liver. It decreases blood stagnation (like clots when menstruation).

Zigong nourishes the gonads, uterus, chong and kidney Jing. The 3 cuns bilateral to to conception vessel 3 on the belly. M-CA-18 special point.

Triple burner 17 behind the ear lobe on the mastoid gives us access to the endocrine points on the back of the ear lobe. The TB channel is also a water channel meaning it circulates hormones around.

Spleen 6 has all three ying meridians passing through it so you can access and tonify spleen, kidney and liver through this single point. It harmonizes liver, tonifies kidneys and invigorates the blood. Treats infertility.

Gallbladder 39 is 3 cun proximal to the lateral ankle bone. It is an influential point for “marrow” which is source for both bone and brain in Chinese Medicine. Marrow includes nervous system and endocrine system. It can alleviate pain in the bone, but also indicated for the marrow weakness (deficiency). Loss of head hair is a deficiency symptom. It helps with liver blood
