Ask the Doctors Live on Zoom | Dr. Karen Kan + Dr. Dennis Lobstein

This session covered a range of in-depth topics, including patch usage troubleshooting, differences between X39 and X49, hydration and mineral balance, energetic healing strategies like five-element rotation and yin-yang pairing, detox support, patching sensitivities, and advanced techniques such as the Tesla Antenna and “surround the dragon” for targeted healing. Several audience-submitted questions were addressed, highlighting practical patch applications for energy loss, chronic wounds, urinary discomfort, endocrine balance, and more.

Q&A Submissions

Abeer

Q: Why do symptoms like low energy, headaches, and irregular blood pressure return after 4 months of patch use?

A: Initial results were excellent, but symptoms returned.

Recommendations included:

  • Increase water intake (at least 2 liters/day, more in hot climates).
  • Use high-quality salt (e.g., Himalayan or Celtic) to support mineral balance.
  • Consider magnesium and potassium supplementation due to signs like leg cramping.
  • Monitor for detox symptoms; reduce patching duration if needed.
  • Ensure proper usage of X39/X49 (12 hours on, 12 hours off) to avoid signal habituation.
  • Consider using Carnosine to support muscle cramping.

Lisbet

Q: Can X49 be used in place of X39? What about heart palpitations with X39?

A: X39 is a generalist: supports stem cell activation and DNA repair.

X49 is a specialist: enhances cardiovascular, nervous system, and muscular strength.

Dr. Dennis explained that X39 has more yin qualities (building tissue), while X49 has more yang qualities (providing energy). Thus, X49 can complement or replace X39 in some instances, depending on individual needs.

Palpitations may be a response to detoxification or sensitivity. Adjust usage or alternate patches.

Always ensure proper hydration and avoid overuse.

Q: Chronic wound on the ear not healing after years. What patches help with skin repair?

A: Avoid placing patches directly on the wound.

Apply near the area using accessories like headbands.

Use CarnosineGlutathione, or X39 to support tissue regeneration.

Dr. Dennis suggested using the “surround the dragon” technique—placing multiple patches in a circular pattern around the wound to focus energetic support.

Pair patches using yin-yang principles for additional balance.

Relevant acupuncture points: Sanjiao 17 (behind the ear) was suggested for patch placement.

Rochelle

Q: Burning urination, cloudy urine after months of X39 use. Detox reaction?

A: Could be detox-related, especially in individuals with similar symptoms.

It may be helpful to explore natural urinary tract support options such as D-mannose (after personal research or consultation with a healthcare provider).

Use Energy Enhancer patches to support detox pathways and organ drainage.

Try Glutathione or Aeon over acupuncture points like Conception Vessel 2 (CV2) and Conception Vessel 3 (CV3)to alleviate discomfort.

Consider applying the 5 Elements Detox Strategy:

  • Alternate patching along different elemental meridians daily (e.g., Kidney/Bladder for water, followed by FireEarthMetalWood),
  • Repeat the element most related to symptoms (in this case, water) more frequently.
  • Key points mentioned: Kidney 3 (K3) on the left and Bladder 60 (B60) on the right.

Anke

Q: Excess thyroid function calmed down after using patches, but then symptoms returned. How can I maintain positive results?

A: Initially had success with X39AeonSP6 Complete.

Returning symptoms may be related to stress or adaptation to the patch frequency.

Tips:

  • Rotate patch points to avoid habituation.
  • Support adrenal health with Aeon and Energy Enhancer.
  • Ensure hydration and electrolyte intake.
  • Use Alavida at night for endocrine support.
  • Additional acupuncture points discussed:
  • Bladder 23 (B23) at the kidney level for adrenal support (especially with Energy Enhancer).
  • CV8 (navel point) was also mentioned in a broader discussion of patching energetics.

Additional Highlights

  • Patch Efficiency: Do not cut or fold patches; this does not reduce frequency. Instead, reduce wear time for sensitive users.
  • Hydration & Salt: Key to sustaining patch benefits. Emphasized: structured water and natural quality high-mineral salt intake.
  • Energetic Strategies: Techniques like five-element rotation, yin-yang pairing, and the Tesla Antenna method were discussed to optimize patch effectiveness.
  • Using Multiple Patches: While one patch covers the entire biofield, using more than one of the same patch at different acupuncture points may activate different energy frequencies and enhance intention. This can be useful in specialized protocols such as the Tesla Antenna, “surround the dragon,” or for acute imbalances.

Yin/Yang Patch Pair

Please note that when we mention the Yin-Yang patch pair, we mean a pairing of two patches, whereby the one on the left is relatively yin compared to the patch on the right.

Examples of Yin/Yang phototherapy patching pairs are:

  • Energy Enhancer: The Tan patch is yin, the White patch is yang
  • IceWave: The Tan patch is yin, the White patch is yang
  • SP6C + Aeon: SP6C on the left (yin), Aeon on the right (yang)
  • Carnosine + Glutathione: Carnosine on the left (relatively yin), and Glutathione (yang) on the right
  • X39 + X49: X39 on the left (yin), X49 on the right (yang)

Yin/Yang meridians pair also refers to patching a Yin acupuncture point on the left side of the body and a Yang acupuncture point on the right side, belonging to the same element.

Examples of Yin/Yang element pairings:

Fire: Pericardium/Triple Burner (more emotional) or Heart/Small Intestine (more physical)

Earth: Spleen/Stomach

Metal: Lung/Large Intestine

Water: Kidney/Bladder

Wood: Liver/Gallbladder
