Topics include kidney and immune support, patching for eye health and chronic inflammation, balancing hormones, hot feet, five element rotation, and using intention in patching. Questions about health concerns are answered using phototherapy patches and traditional Chinese medicine concepts.

Topic Discussed
In this insightful and engaging Q&A session, Chief Connection Officer Leslie Wendland hosts alongside Christine Baker and Dr. Dennis Lobstein for a lively Ask the Doctors Live Q&A—stepping in for the usual host, Dr. Karen Kan G., who’s attending an AI conference in Las Vegas.
The session kicks off with Dr. Dennis sharing his expertise in energy medicine, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), and patching protocols, reminding us that while phototherapy patches can provide support, they don’t claim to cure or treat medical conditions. The tone is warm and supportive as participants from around the globe join to get personalized wellness advice.
Kidney Support
Dr. Dennis offers general guidance for supporting kidney function using acupuncture points like Kidney 3, Bladder 23, and the Mingmen (GV4), with energy patches placed in specific locations. However, he notes the limitations for end-stage or dialysis patients—patches can offer support, but won’t reverse advanced conditions.
Immune System Boosting
For general immune support, Dr. Dennis recommends pairing Energy Enhancer patches in a Five Element Rotation throughout the week, referring listeners to past episodes and blog show notes for detailed guidance.
Eye Health
When asked about patching for eye support, Dr. Dennis stresses the value in using points related to the wood element (liver and gallbladder) and demonstrates how to easily look up acupoints online. He also emphasizes the importance of decreasing inflammation and aiding tissue repair, especially post-surgery.
Restless Leg and Tingling
Dr. Dennis introduces the Lobestein triangle patching method to help with leg discomfort, explaining both the Newtonian and quantum perspectives behind the technique, and underlining the significance of intention in healing.
Vagus Nerve Support
Discussion of calming techniques using patches to engage the vagus nerve and their regulatory effects on heart rate, as well as an entertaining anecdote about how intentional patching is gentler than ninja martial arts methods!
Hormonal & Menstrual Support
Listeners gain practical advice on supporting the uterine lining, regulating bleeding, and balancing hormones through patch pairings (such as X39 and X49 on Spleen 4 and Pericardium 6). Dr. Dennis also touches on managing hot flashes and hormone balance.
Basics & Best Practices
Throughout the Q&A, Christine and Dr. Dennis underscore the importance of using intuition, observing symptoms over time, and not overcomplicating patch protocols—reminding us that sometimes less is more. Intention, consistency, and awareness of personal energy patterns are key.
Resource Sharing & Community
The chat is peppered with helpful reminders about where to find replay links, how to access patching visuals, and the value of joining monthly HealthWise clinics for deeper dives.
Final Notes
Christine Baker and Dr. Dennis Lobstein clarify common questions about patch polarity (yin/yang, left/right, sedating/tonifying), and Dr. Dennis shares simple, memorable analogies to demystify concepts.
The Blog Post Show Notes and replay link are made easily accessible for those wanting to revisit detailed recommendations or search for past topics. Dr. Dennis, with his background in health and exercise science as well as Asian medicine, leaves participants feeling empowered to try patching protocols and connect further for monthly health clinics or personalized support.
Whether you’re an experienced practitioner or brand new to energy patching, this episode is brimming with actionable tips, clear explanations, and supportive energy from a community that believes in holistic health and the power of intention.

Q&A Submissions
Abeer
Q: Where to patch if the kidney is not working very well?
A: For general kidney support, place Energy Enhancer patches on Kidney 3 (put the white patch on the right and the tan on the left).
Alternatively, you can use Energy Enhancer on Bladder 23 (white right, tan left), which is on the lower back.
Another supportive protocol is placing an X39 patch on GV4 (Mingmen, the Life Gate), which is at the midline just below lumbar vertebra 2.
Please note: If someone is experiencing a severe kidney condition (such as being on dialysis or having complete loss of function), these patch locations may offer energetic support for overall wellbeing. However, they are not intended to treat, reverse, or cure any medical condition. Always consult with your healthcare provider before making any changes to your health regimen.

Q: To support the eyes, is it more beneficial to patch around the eye/temple or on the kidney and liver points?
A: Patching around the eye with X39, Glutathione, Carnosine, and Aeon can be beneficial for localized tissue repair and inflammation.
For systemic support, use X49 (right) and X39 (left) on Gallbladder 37 (located on the leg).
Alternatively, X39 can be placed on Liver 3 (left), paired with X49 on Gallbladder 37 (right) to create a yin-yang pair in the wood element, which benefits the eyes.

Q: What can I use to support lower legs that feel tingly and uncomfortable at night, with a constant urge to stretch them?
A: Try the “Lobstein Triangle” protocol for moving Qi and blood in the legs. Place IceWave patches on both Bladder 57 points (located just below the calf muscle, between the calf and Achilles tendon) as the base of the triangle, and the apex can be on GV2 or GV4 (lower back area).
This triangulation helps set up healing energy fields and may improve comfort and circulation.

Q: For an adult female working to strengthen the uterine lining after a 2018 polypectomy that caused a uterine perforation, could recent bleeding after starting to use the patch be a sign of healing?
A: Continue supporting uterus healing with a yin-yang patch pair.
Place X39 (or a tan Energy Enhancer, IceWave Tan, or SP6) on Left Spleen 4 and X49 (or a white Energy Enhancer, IceWave White) on Right Pericardium 6.
You can also use points called Zigong (three cun lateral to CV3—directly over the ovaries) with a yin-yang pair, or reinforce liver flow with X39 on Left Liver 3 and X49 on Right Gallbladder 41.
Give each combination a little time (several days to a week) to assess the response.

Q: What patches would support someone with high white blood cell count, cysteines, inflammation, weight gain, and rash?
A: Start by balancing your body’s energy with a yin-yang pair in a five-element rotation. Alternate the use of Energy Enhancer, IceWave, Eon and SP6, or X39 and X49 according to the five element acupoint system (rotating earth, metal, water, wood, and fire points, e.g., Spleen 6, Stomach 36, etc.).
Limit yourself to just one pair of patches at a time (avoid overlapping multiple protocols), and observe how you respond after a few days to two weeks. This foundational approach helps regulate inflammation and energy flow throughout the body.
Yin/Yang Patch Pair
Please note that when we mention the Yin-Yang patch pair, we mean a pairing of two patches, whereby the one on the left is relatively yin compared to the patch on the right.
Examples of Yin/Yang phototherapy patching pairs are:
- Energy Enhancer: The Tan patch is yin, the White patch is yang
- IceWave: The Tan patch is yin, the White patch is yang
- SP6C + Aeon: SP6C on the left (yin), Aeon on the right (yang)
- Carnosine + Glutathione: Carnosine on the left (relatively yin), and Glutathione (yang) on the right
- X39 + X49: X39 on the left (yin), X49 on the right (yang)
Yin/Yang meridians pair also refers to patching a Yin acupuncture point on the left side of the body and a Yang acupuncture point on the right side, belonging to the same element.
Examples of Yin/Yang element pairings:
Fire: Pericardium/Triple Burner (more emotional) or Heart/Small Intestine (more physical)
Earth: Spleen/Stomach
Metal: Lung/Large Intestine
Water: Kidney/Bladder
Wood: Liver/Gallbladder
