The majority of people in the direct selling industry are those who are entrepreneurs through and through. But what else do we know about the overall demographics of those who work in network marketing? The following statistics were found in the Direct Selling Association’s 2012 annual meeting newsletter.
Did you know that 78.1% of direct sellers are women? Or that 64.9% of sales are made person-to-person rather then 30.9% by party plan or group selling?
If you look at direct sales according to product groups, wellness products, such as our LifeWave patches, lead the way with 24.1% of the market while home and family care products come in second at 22.6% and services like travel, real estate, and financial services come in third at 20.7%.
Global direct sales increased 10 percent from $139.7 billion in 2010 to $153.7 billion in 2011 so network marketing is growing!
There is one all-pervading principal that equalizes any disadvantage you might have in starting your LifeWave business, and that is PERSISTENCE. Every successful entrepreneur- especially those in network marketing – will tell you that being persistent is the difference between success and failure.
