Do you know someone who suffers severe headaches?
More than thirty million people in the U.S. suffer from severe debilitating headaches. These headaches can be pounding, cause light and sound sensitivity, nausea, and even vomiting. That means that there is a severe headache sufferer in twenty five percent of households, according to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders. Traditionally, sufferers use prescription drugs – 2.5 times more than the amount non-sufferers use – to help them get through it.
However, even with the prescriptions, most experience an inability to function normally while having a this type of headache. The American Academy of Neurology says these types of headaches range in severity and often come with a variety of symptoms from pulsating and throbbing pain, light and sound sensitivity, to nausea and vomiting. There are a variety of triggers, including:
– Fluorescent lights
– Coffee
– Dehydration
– Smoking or alcohol abuse
– High blood pressure or hypoglycemia
– Vitamin B or D deficiency or mineral imbalances
– Reaction to food additives such as MSG, sugar, colorings, or preservatives
– Oral contraceptives or prescription medication
– Food allergies or intolerances
Rather than treating headache pain with drugs that have potentially serious side effects, consider that these headaches are likely a symptom that the body is out of balance.
I personally have suffered from severe headaches, called migraines. I can honestly say that I have not had to reach for my migraine drugs in over Two Years. My neurologist believes there is a genetic link to my migraines, because my Mother has them and her Mother had also suffered severe migraines.
Being a nurse I can see the pattern starting in one of my children as well. In fact at my last yearly check up, my neurologist said I can start decreasing my daily migraine prevention medicine, and possibly even stop it all together. He was quite impressed to learn that in the last year I have had only one severe migraine attack, as compared to at least two to three a month I use to have in the past.
So how did I get to this point? Lifewave Icewave Patches and Lifewave Aeon Patches.
When I feel the very slightest symptoms of a headache, I place a Lifewave Aeon at the top of my Head, GV20. If my symptoms continue I will additionally use Lifewave Icewave Patches and place them at the middle of my forehead, GV24.5, and at the back of my head, just under the skull in the dip, GV17. If that does not relieve my discomfort I move the Icewave Patches to my temples, white patch on the right side of the body and tan patch on the left side of the body. If this dose not give the relief I need I will then move on through the Advanced Head Patching Protocol.
In the majority of cases the first two or three placements work extremely well. I will also do the same for each of my 9 year old twins when they come to me and say, “Mom can you patch me?” I can not recall the last time I heard them say “Mom, will you get me some medicine for the headache?”
