Sleep is not only a benefit to your brain, but to your body as well.
Independent researcher Homer Nazeran, PhD, CPEng (Biomed.) presented a published study on the LifeWave Silent Nights patch at the 22nd International Conference on Electronics Communications and Computers to a group of scientists, engineers and students. The abstract of this study is also available online through IEEEXplore which has a membership of close to half a million electrical and electronics engineers globally. Sherry Blake-Greenberg, MA was also a principal investigator in this study.
This clinical study on Silent Nights was significant in that data collection via an Actigraph (an FDA-approved device for sleep studies) and Electro Interstitial Scanning (EIS, approved as a medical device in the EU) were utilized to assess that Silent Nights patches improved both the quality of sleep, and improvement of health as measured by changes in organ function.
Some of the study conclusions using Actigraph data analysis demonstrated that on average there was:
- 29% reduction in activity level during sleep
- 22% reduction in total awake time
- 28% increase in ratio of time in bed over awake time
- 28% reduction in restlessness
Additionally, statistical analysis of the EIS data revealed that there were significant improvements in cellular physiologic functional status of the brain, cardiac ventricles, adrenals, and thyroid gland at the end of the study period.
The benefit is clear – Silent Nights not only improves the quality of your sleep, it also improves the overall quality of your health because you’re sleeping better!
