Why Some People Develop a Rash on Glutathione Patches
LifeWave Y-Age Glutathione Patches are extremely efficient at producing the body’s own glutathione, a master anti-oxidant. Glutathione effectively scavenges free radicals and toxins, such as mercury. By binding to these toxins, it allows the body the opportunity to eliminate them through the colon (bowel movements) and the kidneys (urine). Because the Glutathione Patches as so efficient at grabbing these toxins, it is important that your detoxification channels are open.
Before using Glutathione Patches daily, I usually make sure that my patients are having at least one normal bowel movement per day. If they have constipation (hard and/or infrequent stools), I treat that first before allowing them to use Glutathione patches. The reason is that I want those toxins to have a way “out” of the body and the colon is the most efficient workhorse at detoxifying the body.
Secondly, hydration is extremely important during detoxification so that toxins can also travel out of the body through the kidneys. I’ve noticed that I feel the need to drink almost twice as much when I have the LifeWave Glutathione patches on than when I don’t. But you can’t always count on your thirst. Many people have a broken thirst mechanism and don’t feel thirsty even if they are dehyrated.
Many experts believe that by the time you feel thirsty, you are way past the point of dehydration. It is better to count the number of glasses or water bottles of water you drink per day. If you drink caffeinated beverages, you’ll need to add at least two extra glasses of water to your quotient. I usually recommend 1/2 your weight in oz. of water per day. So if you’re 200 pounds, you should be drinking 100 oz. of pure, filtered water per day.
If the colon is not well, the body will reabsorb the toxins in a process known as auto-intoxication (toxifying itself). Not good. And if you’re dehydrated as well, you’ve shut down the two major ways the body releases toxins. When this happens, the lymphatic organ gets clogged with toxins that cannot escape and releases it into the tissues and eventually through the skin.
Thus one can argue that all skin rashes may be due to inadequate detoxification through other channels. The skin is recognized as the largest organ in the body and it will do the job of detoxification through sweat if needed. However, it was not meant to handle the sheer volume of toxins we have in our bodies today as a results of our diets, air and water pollution, skin care and household cleaning products.
So if you get a skin rash while using patches, it probably means that you’re detoxifying faster than your colon and kidneys can handle. And don’t forget about the liver too. Although it doesn’t release the toxins from our bodies, it is also an important organ of detoxification.
If someone gets a rash while detoxifying, I recommend that they make sure they have adequate bowel movements. Ideal is Type 4 stools (see Bristol Stool Scale) upwards of 2-3 times a day, or after every meal. I also make sure they are hydrating adequately. I also recommend the LifeWave Energy Enhancer patches to support the colon and liver. The points I recommend include what is called The Four Gates: Liver 3 and Large Intestine 4 acupuncture points.
You may use one set of Energy Enhancer patches on either Liver 3 or Large Intestine 3, white on right, tan on left. Alternatively, you can patch BOTH with two sets of Energy Enhancer Patches.
Once the rash is cleared and you’re hydrating well and having adequate bowel movements, you can restart the Glutathione patches working up to daily use.
