Why Pain is actually a GOOD Thing

I know it sounds crazy.. but hear me out..

A few years ago, when I received that dreaded diagnosed of fibromyalgia, I was in so much pain that I wanted to go to sleep and never wake up. There is no way you could’ve convinced me that my excruciating pain was actually for my “highest and greatest good.”

The truth of the matter is, my pain was desperately trying to tell me a message: to stop pursuing happiness outside of myself. I finally began to view my pain as a loving messenger, rather than my worst enemy. I stopped the endless work hours, my unhappy marriage, and yes (thank goodness), I finally stopped people-pleasing!

This was the first and most important step to take towards my lasting healing from this dreadful disease. Only after I started to make friends with my pain was I able to hear the other messages my body was trying to tell me – including what were the right healing tools for me.

Because I finally listened to the messages my pain and my body were bringing me, I am now happier than I have ever been. I love my job, I deeply love my partner and I have the time and energy to win a gold medal along the way (with the help of my LifeWave patches).

So the question is- what is your pain trying to tell you? Are you seeing your pain as an important, beautiful lesson for you?

Tomorrow I will be a featured guest on VoiceAmerica where I will chat with Dr. Linda Sanicola  about the importance of listening to our pain and how we can honor the message it brings us by taking one step at a time towards deeper healing- starting right now.

Whether you are in the beginning of your healing journey, or (like me) ever evolving to greater heights of better health, I encourage you to tune in tomorrow. There will be some great tips on how to honor your healing AND your pain.

Here’s the details to join in:

TOMORROW, Wednesday, September 2nd at 12 pm Noon Eastern
